The Grey Cup is the largest annual sporting event in Canada and this November it will be hosted in Winnipeg. The 103rd Grey Cup Festival is a celebration of sport, culture and community leading up to the big game. From November 25-29, there will be events for fans, visitors and families to experience the Grey Cup in true prairie style. We want the entire province to be able to share in the Grey Cup spirit and we would like to ask for your help! We have created a Grey Cup Festival educational supplement that educators can use in their classrooms to further their curriculum goals and engage students in the upcoming Grey Cup and 103rd Grey Cup Festival. Available for grades K – 12, the 103rd Grey Cup Festival Educational Supplement outlines activities for educators to use in their regular classroom planning in both English and French. Adapted from Saskatchewan’s 101st Grey Cup Festival curriculum resource, the activities have been designed to match with curriculum goals for each grade. With multiple activities at each grade level, there are many ways to share the excitement of the Grey Cup, Canadian Football, and Manitoba culture with your students. Children in Manitoba are a very important part of our community and we look forward to celebrating sport and culture with all students as part of the 103rd Grey Cup Festival.
